A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023, in the Digby Fire Department from 1-3 pm. There will be no visitation or formal funeral service. Always a smile on his face, a joke on his lips, and outstretched arms, he will be remembered for his big hugs, playful teasing, and kind heart. Summers spent golfing with his buddies at the Digby Pines Golf Course upon retirement were times he looked forward to and cherished.Ĭharles’ love for his family, friends, and community was evident in everything he did. Charles also served on the Digby Water Commission and obtained Veteran Fire Fighter status with the Digby Fire Department after 17-years of service.Īn avid sportsman, Charles loved and excelled at tennis, baseball, and golf. He had a number of professions during his working years, ranging from Bank Manager with Scotia Bank for several branches, Assistant Funeral Director with Jaynes Funeral Home in Digby, and most notably Emergency Dispatch Operator with the Municipality of Digby, retiring in January 2014 after 20-years. Born in Sydney, Cape Breton, he was the son of the late William and Eva Ross.Ĭharles loved life, and he lived a full one. ![]() Ross, of Digby, passed away on May 6, 2023, at the age of 73, in Digby General Hospital. She spoke of her beautiful sisters and brothers daily and always prayed for God’s best over their lives. Marjorie had a love for people and cared for them in her unique way. A Graveside Service will be held on Sunday, Jat 3:00 pm in the Harbourville Cemetery. Marjorie Violet McKay, born July 29, 1941, in New Glasgow, to the late Leo and Dorothy McKay, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2023, at the Colchester Community Health Centre in Truro.
